Josh came home Thursday night instead of Wednesday. Friday morning was a beautiful day so we decided to take a drive up to Cooper Landing. We stopped at where the Russian River and Kenai River meet. We saw the Russian River Ferry for the first time and hung out there for a while. We saw some fishermen fishing but not many being caught. This place is usually filled with people elbow to elbow fishing but it was more spread out as the season comes to an end.

This is the little Russian River Ferry. Fishermen are taken across the river on it. They stand on the dock at the other side when they are ready to come back. This is 2 workers going across to pick up some people.
They had some bear hair experiment with barbed wire going on, YIKES!

We got a sandwich at the Mom & Pop grocery store in Cooper Landing and drove up to Quartz Creek to see the spawning salmon.

On the way back we discovered Jean Lake! It's a non marked road down to the lake, so maybe it's pretty secret haha. You know how Josh is with his "top secret fishing spot". It's a nice little place with a few campsites and a make shift boat launch. An all around nice place to take the camper, have some lunch and put the drift boat in. We haven't checked into how the fishing is on this lake yet.
